Wetlands and Groundwater

The Department has a Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems Policy that deals with the protection of groundwater dependent wetlands. It applies five management principles covering values, extraction, quality, the precautionary principle and appropriate use and development for all groundwater dependent ecosystems. This policy is available from the Department's Information Centre or can be downloaded here. (PDF 1041KB)
